Surakarta – The UNS Community Service Team, chaired by Dr Fuad Anwar with members Mohtar Yunianto, M.Si and Fendi Aji Purnomo, M.Eng, has carried out community service activities in the form of initiating the development of Wonorejo Village to become a Tourist Village Destination. Community Partnership Grants from LPPM UNS funded this activity. Wonorejo Village is where most residents are entrepreneurs in the convection sector. There are approximately 80 convection entrepreneurs. So far, each convection has stood alone, without any effort to develop it together, even though the potential to be turned into a convection-based tourism icon is enormous.
The team’s first step was creating a marketplace with the address atwisatakonveksi.com. In the marketplace that was created, there were three types of users, namely Visitors, Admin shop owners and marketplace admins, each of which has access rights according to their user level.
In collaboration with Karang Taruna in Wonorejo Village, they conducted a detailed data search for all convection entrepreneurs in the village. They then conducted training for the convection owner admin in terms of posting their products and transaction processing to the delivery process.
Yusuf Azis Rahma, S.Pd, as the Head of Wonorejo Village, this marketplace will initiate Wonorejo Village into a Convection Tourism Village because this is the first step in introducing it to the community in the future. It is hoped that the marketplace will have a centralized offline product display. So tourists visiting the village before travelling to each employer can find examples of their products.
