International Conference on Physics and Its Applications (ICOPIA)

The International Conference on Physics and Its Applications (ICOPIA) is a biennial international seminar held by the Physics Study Program, FMIPA UNS to present and discuss the latest research in Physics and its applications.
ICOPIA was originally held in 2001 under the name of the 1st Kentingan Physics Forum with the theme “The Aligning of Physics Development for Empowerment of Indonesia Education and Industries” at Novotel Hotel Surakarta. The Kentingan Physics Forum continues to be held every 2 years with success until in 2012, the 6th seminar of the Kentingan Physics Forum changed its name to the International Conference on Physics and Its Applications aka ICOPIA. The latest ICOPIA is the tenth ICOPIA, which means that ICOPIA has been held ten times successfully, where physicists both from Indonesia and abroad contribute by presenting their research articles or papers.

ICOPIA 2020

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, ICOPIA 2020 will be held virtually using the Zoom application. Even though the ICOPIA is virtual, the academic quality of the seminar is still well maintained. All participants must come to the zoom application and each participant must make a presentation and no paper is presented using a poster. In other words, all presentations are carried out orally.

The ICOPIA paper is published by the Journal of Physics Conference Series (JPCS) published by the Institute of Physics (IOP). JPCS already has a very high index as a publisher of the paper. The H-index of JPCS is 70 and the sjr score is 0.23. JPCS has also been indexed by SCOPUS.
