The Physics Study Program reconstructed the latest curriculum based on the change in the achievement-based learning paradigm (Outcome Based Education / OBE), the need for work skills in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, Society 5.0 and the existence of the Merdeka Learning Kampus Merdeka policy. The curriculum review, of course, refers to the Presidential Decree No. 8 Th. 2012 concerning KKNI, Permendikbud No. 73 Th. 2013 concerning the Implementation of Higher Education KKNI, Permenristekdikti No. 3 Th. 2020 on the DIKTI National Standard and currently leads to the International accreditation standard, namely ASIIN and the Merdeka Learning program launched from the Ministry of Education and Culture.

Referring to UNS Chancellor Regulation No. 32 of 2020, the minimum number of credits for a Physics Study Program graduate is 144 credits. The Physics Study Program distributes courses in 8 semesters which can be taken for a maximum of 14 semesters consisting of courses. Physics Study Program courses consist of Compulsory Courses (MKW) (consisting of UNS Compulsory Courses, General Compulsory Courses, Faculty Compulsory Courses, and Study Program Compulsory Courses) and Elective Courses (MKP). MKW as many as 118 credits or 82% and a minimum of 26 credits or 18% of the MKP. In terms of courses in the form of practicum, the number of practicum courses is 12 credits or around (8-10)% of all graduate credits. Notes:

1. Semester Credit hours allocated for students in semester 1 and 2 are 20 credits.
2. The maximum allowed semester credit hours for a student in Semester 3-7 is determined by his/her achievement from the previous semester. Those whose accumulative GPA from the previous semester is ≥3.0, the allowed maximum credits hours is 24.
3. The maximum allowed credit hours for the final student taking undergraduate thesis is 18 credits.
